I looked into the walking picture trade, as this is where the photo was taken in Skegness, and found a blog with a large selection of pictures in the same style as the one I chose.
This then led me to look at images of the area at the time my grandad visited, to gauge what sorts of imagery I could incorporate alongside some modern objects, to really add some more information to the narrative. I found some interesting objects that relate to my grandad’s past, including a programme from a football match when he was younger, very different to the coloured ones that you get at modern matches.
